Marie Curie
During her life, Marie Curie earned many accolades for her contributions to science. She was the first woman to receive a Nobel Prize in both physics and chemistry. She also made important contributions to the medical field, especially in the treatment of cancer.
In 1911, Marie Curie was awarded the Nobel Prize in chemistry for her work on radioactivity. She was the first woman to receive this award. She was also awarded a Davy Medal from the Royal Society for her work. She was the first woman to become a professor at the University of Paris.
In 1921, Marie Curie traveled to the United States with her two daughters. Tsar Nicholas II

Amelia Earhart

She also helped break social norms for women by becoming the first female pilot to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. This helped establish her as a prominent female aviator and advocate for women’s rights. In 1929, Amelia became the first president of the Ninety-Nines, an international organization for female aviators.
In 1920, Amelia Earhart made her first flight. She started her flying lessons with a female aviator named Neta Snook. After her first flight, Amelia realized she had a true passion for flying. She saved money for a plane. She bought a Kinner Airster biplane. The plane’s nickname was The Canary.
During her first flight, Amelia Earhart was greeted by many reporters and citizens who came to watch her fly. She had a strong sense of adventure and was determined to fly across the Atlantic Ocean alone.
World War I
