During the last year, there have been several new games released. These include the Skywalker Saga, Dying Light 2, Scorn, and The Stanley Parable. Among the other games you may want to check out are Ghostwire: Tokyo, Valkyrie Elysium, and Cuphead.
Valkyrie Elysium
Several years after the release of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, Square Enix returns to the world of the Valkyrie Profile series with Valkyrie Elysium. The game is an action RPG that follows a young woman named Valkyrie, who is tasked with cleansing Midgard of undead.
As a divine being, Valkyrie has powers of magic and elemental affinities. She is able to call upon the souls of fallen warriors called Einherjar to aid her in combat. Her attacks can include fireballs, thunder, and gravitational pulls.
Skywalker Saga
TT Games has worked with Lucasfilm to produce Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The game will incorporate characters and stories from all nine mainline Star Wars films. In addition, downloadable content is planned for the game. The downloadable content will include characters, vehicles, and scenes from Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Dying Light 2
Whether you’ve already played Dying Light or are just thinking about getting into the zombie-infested open world, there are many new games you can try out. This update offers a variety of new content, including a new quest and an exciting new game mode.
After completing the main story, players can start a new game and replay the story with new difficulty levels and a slew of new challenges. In this new gameplay mode, Techland will significantly improve the challenge.
Cuphead
Originally released on Xbox One and Windows in 2017, Cuphead quickly became a fan favorite. Its unique art style, frantic big band orchestra score, and absurd 1930s animation style won it many fans.
Its success led to its own comic book series and adaptation into an animated TV show. It also appeared in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a Mii costume. It won the British Academy Games Award, three Game Awards, and the coveted title of “the hardest video game ever created.”
The Delicious Last Course is the long-awaited DLC expansion to Cuphead. It will be available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC on June 30, 2022. It will add new levels and boss battles. It is also expected to feature a brand-new island.
Ghostwire: Tokyo
Developed by Tango Gameworks, Ghostwire: Tokyo is a supernatural thriller action-adventure game set in 2022 Tokyo. It features a unique vision of the city and a strong visual design.
In this open world game, you use spell-like abilities to battle unsettling ghosts. You also must harness your paranormal powers to save the city from a mysterious force.
While there are similarities to the action-adventure game The Evil Within 3, Ghostwire: Tokyo is its own distinct IP. It takes place in a surrealist, nocturnal Tokyo.
The Stanley Parable
Originally released as a free mod for Half-Life 2, The Stanley Parable is a story-based video game that explores themes of choice, predestination and fate in narrative fiction. It features a silent protagonist named Stanley and a disembodied voice, known as the Narrator, who guides Stanley’s actions.
The Stanley Parable features a number of endgame sequences based on choices made during the main story. There are several levels, each with diverging paths and hidden areas. The game’s ending is particularly notable for its triumvirate of easter eggs and references.
Symphony of War
Whether you are an old-school turn-based RPG fan or new to the genre, you will find a lot to love about Symphony of War. This tactical game lets players lead squads of up to 15 units through epic clashes, manage resources and create alliances. In addition to a robust set of unit stats, each unit has its own class system and equipment.
The simulated combat sequences in Symphony of War feature blown up character sprites to provide added detail. These sprites also help to make the animations more fluid.
Scorn
Originally slated to launch in 2021, Scorn has been pushed forward. It is now set to arrive on Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X in October of this year.
The game is a survival horror that blends body horror with basic puzzle elements. It’s set in a world of interconnected bio-labyrinths and maze-like structures.
Players will explore a strange world to uncover the mysteries of their own predicament. They will discover a limited number of enemies and must collect four weapons to beat them.
