Some of these games include Animal Crossing, Endling: Extinction is Forever, Alto’s Adventure, and Alto’s Odyssey. You may also want to check out Moles in Holes, Dune II, and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Alto’s Adventure or Alto’s Odyssey
Despite its simplicity, Alto’s Adventure or Alto’s Odyssey forever has an addictive nature. Whether you’re playing on your smartphone or PC, you’ll find yourself bouncing from one point to another, attempting tricks and collecting coins.
Unlike other games, you don’t have to grind for coins to progress. In fact, you don’t even need to collect any in the first place. Instead, you have to be quick and avoid obstacles. If you hit a rock, you can flip and land on your back to increase your speed. This trick is especially useful if you’re running into lemurs, as they are pretty speedy.
Alone in the Dark
Earlier this year, THQ Nordic announced that it will be releasing a remake of the 1992 classic, Alone in the Dark. The remake will be an action-oriented game set in the 1920s, in the deep south of America. Unlike the first two games, this will be a third-person over-the-shoulder title.
While it was not entirely a reboot, the new game reintroduces the series’ protagonist, Edward Carnby, who is missing since 1938. The new game is also a reboot, as it features a young version of Carnby that is investigating the death of a colleague.
Moles in Holes
Among the many games I have played on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Moles in Holes is my favorite. Not only is the gameplay extremely fun and challenging, but the game is also very popular.
In the game, you have to hit moles with a mallet. The goal is to get as many points as possible by hitting as many of them as possible. There are two ways to score – by hitting them, or by throwing rocks at them.
In order to hit the moles, you have to cut a number of holes in the panel. The goal is to hit as many as possible before the moles drop out of sight.
Endling: Extinction is Forever
Developed by Herobeat Studios, Endling: Extinction is Forever is a game about a mother fox raising her cubs in a world that has been devastated by human activity. The game focuses on the environmental damage humans have done to the planet and highlights the devastating effects man has on the earth.
The game puts players in the shoes of a mother fox trying to raise her four cubs in a harsh environment. As the last mother fox on the planet, the fox must make difficult decisions in order to protect her children from danger.
Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare
Despite its age, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is still a great game to play. Not only is it one of the best FPS games of all time, it has a long list of features and innovations. This makes it a game that should be remembered for years to come.
The biggest innovation in Call of Duty 4 is the four-player multiplayer game mode. This was the first time that a Call of Duty game had a multiplayer component, and it instantly became a hit.
The campaign isn’t all that impressive, though it has its own set of highlights. You can go on a truck chase on the Russian highway, and there are even some surprises in store for you. However, there isn’t much in the way of sci-fi twists or futuristic technology.
Dune II
Originally released in 1992, Dune II is a classic real time strategy (RTS) game that laid the foundation for the genre. It introduced many concepts and gameplay conventions that would be used later in games such as Command & Conquer and Warcraft.
The game is set in the fictional universe of Dune by legendary author Frank Herbert. Players take on the role of young Paul Atreides, the son of Duke Leto. As a member of the Atreides family, he is tasked with harvesting the precious spice on the planet Arrakis.
Animal Crossing
Originally designed as a game for the Nintendo 64, Animal Crossing became a successful franchise with its first title Dobutsu no Mori. In the years since then, the series has developed into a full-fledged line of games, including five mainline titles and several spinoffs.
The latest Animal Crossing is a relaxing life sim that provides an escape from everyday life. The game takes players on a journey to a deserted island, where they are responsible for developing the land and attracting new residents. It is a simple and fun game that focuses on gathering items and completing tasks.
