Whether you have an existing email account from another service or are creating a new one, you can use it to sign in to Microsoft 365. In some cases, you may not be able to change your basic contact information. If you can’t change your basic contact information, you can change it from the contact preferences page.
If you need to sign in to Microsoft 365 using an alternate account, you will need to use the Microsoft Authenticator app. This app is available for download on the App Store. Sign in to the app with your work or school account, then sign in to the security info page. You will be prompted to set a password and verify that it is the correct password.
